““But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”” — Jeremiah 17:7-8 Listen to chapter Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica. Powered by BibleGateway.com.

Our Story

Under the direction of Restoration House Ministries in New Hampshire, and with support from Traders Point Christian Church in Indiana, Pastor Dave Johnson and his family packed up their lives and moved from Indiana to Connecticut in hopes of starting a new church in 1999. They were joined by Tom and Tricia Cater from Illinois, as well as families who had been a part of the former Park Avenue Christian Church in Bloomfield, CT. Together they laid the foundation for Colonial Point Christian Church (CPCC). In early 2000, after months of preparation, the first Worship service was held on March 5, 2000 in the auditorium of Timothy Edwards Middle School (TEMS) in South Windsor, CT. Around 2007, we purchased 7 acres of land in South Windsor near I-291, and our building was completed in October of 2010 on Chapel Road, South Windsor.  In 2012, Pastor Jim Turney and his family arrived in CT to continue the direction of the church and reach as many people as possible. On February 3, 2019, Colonial Point changed its name to ONE CHURCH to reflect the mission and vision of our future direction for the church. Since our launch ONE CHURCH has truly become a community that honors God, reaches out in love and grows in our relationship with Him.
