What to Expect

Dress Attire
Many people dress semi-casually to casually, (jeans and shorts included) - the key is for everyone to be comfortable and relaxed.

When You Arrive
There will be someone to greet you and give you a program. We don’t put any pressure on visitors - we know that you want to just come and check things out without any pressure. The Care and Communication Card in your program has two purposes: for members to communicate with us and for visitors to give us a little information about themselves.  Indicate any questions or interests you might have on the card, drop it in the offering bag, and we will contact you with answers and/or information.  We honor your privacy and wishes.

Children/Youth
From 10:00-11:15am, nursery is available for infants and Kids' Point Children's Ministry is available for children ages Preschool through 6th grade.  The Youth meet from 9:15-9:45am for Sunday Morning Prayer, and then join the regular service at 10:00am.  Visit the Youth Ministry for more information on scheduled meetings and activities for our youth.

3:18@9:04
2 Peter 3:18 reads: But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever!  3:18 @ 9:04 meets each Sunday at 9:04am, and is a series of learning experiences where Biblical truth is taught and applied to real life.  These spiritual learning experiences will last anywhere from 2 – 6 weeks and will be taught by various teachers in a variety of formats.  Visit 3:18@9:04 for more information.

Music
The CPCC band, One Accord, will play a variety of music, both hymns and modern songs, using a variety of instruments.  You might hear a song you recognize along with a lot of new songs.  During the service, we have the words up on a screen in front so you can follow along with us. There will also be special musical presentations during some services.

Message
Dave, our Lead Minister, will teach a lesson from the Bible, so bring yours with you.  If you don't have a Bible, you can get one from our literature table.  On occasion, we will watch a skit or video clip, or listen to an audio clip that will relate to Dave's message.  Dave will also use the screen up front to help illustrate key points in his sermon.  Messages at CPCC are designed to help you become a committed and equipped follower of Jesus Christ.  Some weeks an invitation will be offered for you to make public any decision God leads you to during the message.  On weeks where an open invitation is not given, feel free to commit to God through prayer and notify a staff member of your decision.  You can also make note of any decision on your Care & Communication Card.

The Lord's Supper
If you are a part of God's family and would like to remember Christ's sacrifice through communion, you're invited to take a cup of juice and a cracker.  Use the time before and after for quiet meditation.

Tithes & Offerings
This is a time to give back financially some of what has been given to us, to help further God's Kingdom.  If you are a first-time guest at Colonial Point, please don’t feel obligated to contribute financially.  If you would like to share in this act of worship, you can make your check payable to “Colonial Point Christian Church”.
