Worship Ministry

About This Ministry: The Worship Ministry magnifies the church's vision of God through music and a variety of other media. It leads the people of CPCC in authentic, Spirit inspired worship that glorifies God and draws people closer to Him.

Service Opportunities: Worship Leader, Vocalists/ Soloists, Instrumentalists, Actors, Administrative Planner, Creative Planner, Drama Coordinator, Script-Writers, Costume Designers

Music has been part of the Church since the very beginning. Early believers would put their confessions of Christ in a lyrical format. The Book of Psalms in the Old Testament is one of the greatest collections of songs, prayers, and poetry. These Psalms express the deepest passions of humanity. The Psalms lead us through the peaks and valleys of human experiences; they guide us to the praise of our loving Creator.

The Colonial Point band, One Accord, lead us in this loving praise every Sunday. They play a variety of music, both hymns and modern songs, using a variety of instruments. On Sunday mornings, you might hear a song you recognize along with a lot of new songs. We have the words up on a screen in front so you can follow along with us. There will also be special musical presentations during some services.

A Note to CPCC Members...

It is our belief that every good and perfect gift comes from above. Perhaps you have a tremendous talent or a deep desire to be a musician, and you're looking for a place that would welcome your participation. We invite you to join us. We have a place just for you! One Accord members must be devoted followers of Jesus Christ with a strong desire to serve Him with their vocal and/or instrumental talents, committed to serving at CPCC. They must also be prepared to practice independently and with the band on a weekly basis. You must be willing to serve during our Sunday worship service, and be prepared to commit to serving frequently. The Worship team meets every Saturday from 9:30am-noon for practice.
