WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

The idea of
Everyone Make One
is based on the biblical calling from Jesus to the original 12 disciples.

Matthew 28:19-20 ESV

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Other biblical references make the same calling, go and make disciples.
Acts 1:8, John 15:8, Romans 10:14-15, 2 Timothy 3:16 , Mark 16:15

These passages, and so
many more, all reference the calling God has set for us, to go and make disciples. It is the very reason for why Jesus was on this earth. Jesus taught of God’s love for us and all things; he taught hope and everlasting life; he taught by example with the life he led; and he taught his disciples who followed him all these things and more. What if Jesus just came to earth, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross, without ever teaching the disciples for the three years he was with them? Who would have then taught others and spread the word of God to all? No one. This is why we, as followers of Christ, are asked to go, and make disciples of all nations. Everyone Make One
is Colonial Point’s challenge for this year, to encourage every member to find a relationship with someone they can mentor and ultimately make a disciple.
